Leading the way for safety

Magnox South’s first Safety Representatives’ Conference was held in March at the Paramount Oxford Hotel. The Conference was designed by the Southern Sites Health and Safety Advisory Committee to provide a forum for safety representatives to share ideas and help contribute to making a positive difference across Magnox South.

Commenting on the conference, Magnox South Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Director Ray Jepps said: “The Safety Representatives’ Conference was excellent, from the basic arrangements through to the wide-ranging topics and dynamic interaction from all those participating.

“Representatives from each site had an equal offering of learning and the fact that they were all volunteers with a personal interest in safety, was evident throughout.

“Nuclear Decommissioning Authority representatives also attended the conference and were wholly complimentary about the event.

“This conference underlines our ongoing commitment to safety and was an event every participant and observer could be proud of.”
